AG Hangers

How do "ya'll" (yes, I am from the South) hang up AG outfits that have pants or skirts with a matching top? Are the little slots on the AG hangers for hair ribbons or "stuff" or "just for pretty"?

The American Girls Collection hangers are cream-colored with burgundy lettering. They have a good-sized cutout heart in the middle over which I drape the hair ribbon that matches the outfit. If you fold the stockings longways, they'll probably fit there, too, but socks might be a little too short to stay up.

The American Girl of Today hangers are black with blue lettering and have a long horizontal slot to hang up pants. However, I don't have any experience with the AGT hangers, so someone else would be better and explaining if the horizontal slot works very well. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Yes, the horizontal slot works great for pants--only they wind up taking up more rod space, since they're so much bulkier. [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] [img]smile.gif[/img]

I purchase doll size clothes pins from craft stores and attach them to the skirt or pants and then to the top of the hanger. It works very well.
